Denim n Rose ~ part 1 (paper flowers)

Finally got back into designing & have made a new kit for you, which I named Denim n Rose (for obvious reasons).

Here's part one, some paper flowers made using one of Atomic Cupcakes' actions and fabrics which I scanned the other week.

As usual, all images are transparent pngs and saved at 300ppi.

I'll be posting other parts of the kit in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Garden Party mini kit ~ part 1

Well, the Garden Party blog train will be leaving the station in a week's time, and we've made so much again that we've decided to separate the kit into a number of parts.

(not sure if it's going to be in 2 or 3 parts at the moment)

This first part contains 27 felt & puffy felt elements:
8 tulips, 6 stems, 2 four leaf clovers, 2 bushes (in small and large, which means there's actually 4), and a sun in three different sizes.

Why are there large and small sizes in some files?
Because with the puffy felt effect, size matters. Smaller images end up more "puffy" looking, but obviously won't scale to larger sizes too well.
So we thought we'd give you more options.

Please let us know what you think!
We love comments & feedback :)

Watercolour Flowers

Some whimsical, multicoloured daisies that I painted with my watercolours the other day, then  scanned and extracted them and they turned out pretty good.

I didn't include pngs with shadows because they look best flat on a background, as if you've just painted them onto your paper yourself - you might even try setting their transparency to 80% for more effect.

Hope they're bright and cheerful enough for you!

5 transparent pngs at 300ppi (no shadows)

Summer Fuzz mini kit - part one

We were really inspired to create by the deviantArt ScrapbookHub June Challenge, and have been having a fantastic time playing with my new PSE8 & actions from Atomic Cupcake.

Here's the colours we had to play with.  Bright, huh?

We'll be putting up the second part on Friday, so make sure you call in then to pick up the rest of our Summer Fuzz mini kit.

In the first part, there's puffy felt flowers & leaves, glossy brads and papers.

All images were created at 300ppi, and the file contains 20 transparent pngs (with and without shadows) and five papers (3600 x 3600).

It's a bit of a biggie, this file, and that's why we split it like this.

Sorry about the mixup :)

Puffy Felt Flower Frames

Hi, this is Jane here, today.

From now on I'll be working with Kathy, designing freebies for you & generally having fun, so here's little about me.

I'm a stay at home mum of two lovelies (Wren, 9 & Mr Bump, 6), married for 11yrs to Mr Blogs (aka Wonderhubby).

I've had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for over 20yrs (since I was 16), so I've had to find non-physical, non-stressful things to do with my time (no, I wasn't silly enough to think being a mum would be non-stressful).

Playing with photoshop elements is the most fun I've had on the computer in a long time!

So, on with the freebie...
Today I've created some little puffy felt frames in red, green and blue for you.

CU Glitter Flower Shapes

As I'm a bit of a design dabbler, I've decided to have a bit of a play with paint.NET (a free program), and share my results here for others to use.

I'm saving up for PhotoShop Elements, so hopefully I'll reach my saving target fairly soon and will be able to create some top quality images for you.

Here's my first cu freebie, some simple flower shape elements:
